How to verify a 14K stamp
The 14K or 585 stamp hides inside ring bands, on clasp tongues, and on pendant bails. Counterfeit stamps exist on base-metal fashion pieces, so buyers verify with acid or XRF before quoting — expect that test, and be suspicious of any buyer who skips it.
